Arizona State offensive lineman, Edward “Chip” Sarafin has come out as gay.
The 5th year senior acknowledged his sexuality in an article with Compete Magazine.
Sarafin is now the first active college football player to come out publicly.
He followed in the footsteps of St. Louis Rams linebacker, Michael Sam, who came out to the public following the conclusion of his collegiate career at Missouri.
