Israel agrees to ceasefire extension with Hamas

gaza3This morning Israel accepted Egypt’s proposal for a five-day extension to a ceasefire with Hamas.

An Israel government spokesperson made the announcement.

But he said Hamas has already violated the truce, claiming they fired rockets into Israel late Wednesday night into Thursday.

At least five people died in Gaza yesterday when an Israeli rocket exploded as bomb technicians were working on it.

A journalist for the associated press was one of the five killed.

Another six people were injured.
