A 29-year-old Swatara Township man was arrested and charged with downloading and sharing child pornography.

Eugene Ludington, of the 4800 block of Cumberland Street, admitted to police that the had been looking at child porn for several years, investigators said.

Swatara Township police searched his home Thursday, recovering computers and a small amount of marijuana and drug paraphernalia.

Officers discovered a large cache of child pornography on his computers, police said.

Authorities were alerted to Ludington after being contacted by the International Crimes Against Children task force. The organization reached out to local law enforcement officials because Ludington had been downloading child pornography at the TownePlace Suites,   where he worked as a night manager.

Ludington is charged with sexual abuse of children, 200 counts of possession of child pornography and 10 counts of dissemination of child pornography.

He was arrested and taken to Dauphin County Prison in lieu of $250,000.

A preliminary hearing is scheduled for Sept. 15.
