It’s time to check in with Pennlive’s Julia Hatmaker to see what’s going on in Central Pennsylvania this weekend.

 

World War II tribute

Commemorate the end of WWII with this event, featuring re-enactors, WWII-era vehicles, historians and a number of displays. Then come back in the evening for a USO-style dance with the Will Fisher Orchestra, a 19-piece ensemble. Come in period costume.

Schaefferstown Fire Company Carnival

Cow Patty Bingo, concerts, games and loads of food await at the Schaefferstown Fire Company Carnival.

Mount Gretna Outdoor Art Show

For those who need an excuse to head up to Mt. Gretna on a beautiful weekend, let the outdoor art show be yours. It’s the 40th anniversary of the show, which will have 260 artists displaying their work.

Gettysburg Bluegrass Festival
