Memorial Poker Run for Joshua Hershey

Family, friends, and bikers from across the area came together on Sunday in honor of 18-year old Joshua Hershey.

Hershey, and his twin brother were involved in a car crash in York County on Father’s Day; Joshua was killed.

On Sunday, the Middletown VFW sponsored a Memorial Poker Run in his honor.

The event started with a breakfast in Etters, followed by a bike ride, making a few stops along the way.

Each rider paid a $20.00 donation to help with Joshua’s funeral costs and medical bills for his surviving twin, Jacob.

Family friend Allie Lencicki says, “In their burden, the community support has been fantastic we couldn’t have asked for anything more. On behalf of the entire Hershey family we all appreciate it very much.”
The Poker Run consisted of five stops, ending in Middletown, Dauphin County.
