A baby girl is dead and police say an 18 year-old Chambersburg girl is to blame. EMS were called to 18 North Third Street around 12:21am for a report of an unresponsive infant. Three month old Kaendra Destinvil was pronounced dead at Chambersburg Hospital. Police say the baby had visible bruises and abrasions on her head and body.
An autopsy performed this morning revealed she had a fractured skull and multiple abrasions and bruises to her head and body. Investigators say the injuries were the result of multiple blunt force trauma. Police interviewed people who had contact with the infant in the hours leading up to her death. One of them, Rosanna Desinor, 18, admitted to police that she caused the injuries that led to Kaendra’s death.
Police say Desinor is not related to the victim. She is charged with one count of Criminal Homicide and is in Franklin County Jail pending arraignment.
