DRYING INTO THE WEEKEND

Cool with returning sunshine Sunday

High pressure working in from the northeast is expected to dry us for the rest of the weekend. Tonight, the clouds break apart gradually. Cooler and less humid air pushes in through the night. This allows low temperatures to fall into the upper 50s to lower 60s. On Sunday, high pressure is in full control, making for a beautiful but unseasonably cool day. Expect a mixture of sunshine and a few passing clouds. Temperatures hover in the middle 70s to near 80 degrees.

SLOWLY WARMING

Dry weather continues through the week ahead. A blocked flow keeps our next system to the west of the area. This means plenty of sunshine for Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday clouds build a little as the next system edges closer, but it’s still a day filled with lots of sunshine. Highs begin in the upper 70s to lower 80s Monday and rise into the lower to middle 80s by Wednesday.

NEXT SYSTEM

Thursday and Friday stay dry, but it won’t come without added clouds. Before the next cold front enters the region on Saturday, temperatures should have no problem reaching the middle to upper 80s. Expect plenty of humidity too, creating an uncomfortable feel. Once the front arrives Saturday, expect the chance for showers and thunderstorms. Highs are in the lower 80s.

Enjoy the rest of your weekend!
