Police warn of distraction burglary in Ephrata

EPHRATA, Pa. (WPMT)-Ephrata police are searching for a man and woman involved in a distraction burglary.

It happened Thursday at a home along the 900 block of Pleasant View Road.

Police said a woman tricked the homeowners into thinking they were tree cutters hired by their neighbors. The woman asked the couple into their backyard where she continued talking with them.

All the while--- a man posing as her co-worker broke-into the couples home and stole cash and valuables.

The woman is described as a thin, white female in her 30's with shoulder length hair. The vehicle they were driving is a large, white GMC SUV.
