Coroner: Toddler’s drowning death accidental

The Dauphin County Coroner has ruled the death of a toddler last Friday an accident. Kaleesia Witman,1, drowned in a neighbors pool in Swatara Township.  Police were called to the 6800 block of Chambers Hill Road in Swatara Township around 8:30 Friday morning for a report of a missing girl. Swatara Township Police immediately began to search the area along with police from neighboring jurisdictions and fire department personnel.
Witman was found at approximately, 9:04 am, by neighbors in the 500 Block of Margate Road who found her floating in their swimming pool to the rear of their house. She was transported by Life Team to the Hershey Medical Center for advanced medical care but did not survive.
The coroner ruled the cause of death as freah water drowning and the manner of death as accidental.
