A Lancaster County man is in custody after a short standoff with police that started with gunfire and ended with police tasing the suspect. It happened around 2:40 a.m. Thursday along the 300 block of Beaver Street.

According to police,  a domestic dispute occurred between a man and a woman before the man fired at-least two shots and forced the woman inside the home.

Officers surrounded the house and saw the suspect in a window holding a large knife. Police say the suspect ignored repeated commands to exit the home. Officers made two attempts  to tase the suspect through an open window but were unsuccessful.

Officers entered the home and tased the man in order to take him into custody.  He is identified as Ryan Singh.

Police say the female was not injured. Singh was found in possession of crack and powder cocaine and a small amount of marijuana.

Ryan Singh, 43,  is charged with persons not to possess firearms, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person, possession with intent to deliver cocaine, and possession of small amount of marijuana.

Officials obtained a search warrant for the house and located a .38 caliber colt revolver in a rear bedroom. Investigators are still looking into how Singh obtained the gun. Singh is not allowed to possess a firearm due to previous felony convictions.

Singh was arraigned and is currently in Lancaster County prison in lieu of $300,000 bail.
