West Shore Regional Police arrest a man for multiple burglaries. Michael Wayne Benson, 25,  is accused of three West Shore armed robberies. The first occurred on Monday, August 4th, at the Turkey Hill Store located at 438 South 3rd Street in Lemoyne Borough. Police say Benson entered the store, displayed a handgun and demanded cash from the clerk.  The second robbery occurred on Sunday, August 24th, at the the Sunoco Convenience Store located at the intersection of Lowther and South 10th Streets in Lemoyne Borough. Again, Benson is accused of displaying a handgun and demanding cash from the clerk.  The final robbery occurred on Wednesday, August 27th, when BENSON allegedly entered the Burger King Restaurant located at 407 South 3rd Street in Lemoyne Borough and displayed a weapon and approached the counter.

Benson, of no permanent address, was arrested early this morning in Harrisburg. He told police he is addicted to heroin.

The West Shore Regional Police Department is working with the Fairview Township and the East Pennsboro Township Police Departments to determine if Benson may have been involved in other robbery incidents in those jurisdictions as well.

As of Friday morning Benson is at the Cumberland County Prison awaiting arraignment on multiple criminal charges including Robbery.
