In Harrisburg on Saturday, the annual Festival of India took place alongside the Kipona Wine, Art and Blues Festival.
The activities were held on City Island and offered a taste of Indian culture for anyone who stopped by. Vegetarian dishes were served for free, along with a chariot parade, cultural stage show and yoga sessions.
Many of the vendors selling Indian wares will also stay throughout the weekend for the Kipona crowd.
Anju Singh, who owns Aanchal Apparel & Accessories says, "I believe a lot of non-Indian people also like Indian clothes, they just haven't had access to it, they don't know where to get it or how to get it, and the few times I think they're able to see it, it's not at an affordable price. My mission is make it accessible to them and make it affordable to them."
The Festival of India has been celebrated in Harrisburg for the last five years. It wrapped up Saturday evening, however Kipona runs through Monday.
