Man charged in motorcycle theft

Police in Dauphin County charge a Lower Paxton Township man in the theft of a motorcycle.  The 2007 Yamaha YZ 85 racing dirt bike had been stolen overnight in the 5500 block Devonshire Road.

A township police officer saw the stolen motorcycle being driven by a man in the area of South Arlington Avenue and Ridge Drive at about 1:18 pm this afternoon.  Spotting the police, the man dumped the bike and ran away on foot.

With the assistance of Susquehanna Township Police, the man was arrested in the Brook Apartments. He is identified as Kieran James Gornik, 20, of Lower Paxton Township.

Gornik is charged with Receiving Stolen Property and related traffic offenses.
