FRIDAY:  It’s another hot day today.  We start cloudy with some sun for midday.  We heat up fast to the upper 80s.  A few storms will bubble in the heat of the day, with many staying dry.  Evening plans look warm and humid with temps falling toward the 70s and storms fading.

FOOTBALL:  Friday Football Frenzy features partly cloudy skies and temps in the low 80s for kickoff.  As the game progresses, we move into the upper 70s.  It’s a warm and sticky game with a small chance for a stray shower or storm early.

As for Penn State, they take on Akron for their home opener in Happy Valley.  The tailgate could be wet, with mostly cloudy skies and scattered storms.  Temps are in the low to mid 70s.  We keep the chance for storms in the forecast during the game, with highs in the middle 70s.  Pack the tents and rain gear for the game, it’ll be wet.

WEEKEND:  Saturday’s storms in Happy Valley will be on the menu for the Susquehanna Valley as well.  Expect mostly cloudy skies with showers and storms through the afternoon as a cold front slowly presses through the state.  Highs hit the middle 80s with plenty of humidity.  Storms taper overnight and we begin to cool off as high pressure rolls in.  Sunday, the morning clouds clear for late afternoon sun.  Highs are only in the middle 70s with much less humid air in play.

NEXT WEEK:  Sunshine to start the week!  Not a bad way to get started.  Expect highs are in the middle 70s.  Enjoy it.  Tuesday, some clouds roll into the picture, but it does look dry.  Highs are in the upper 70s and it’s still comfy.  Wednesday into Thursday, we watch a storm system roll in, with more clouds and the chance for storms.  Highs hold in the upper 70s to near 80°.

Have a fantastic Friday and a superb weekend!
