There are companies like Google, Facebook and Twitter that are known for giving their employees free meals. Now, the Wall Street Journal reports the IRS is questioning whether they should be taxed for the perk.

If the meals are ruled taxable, the cost of the food would be considered income to the employee. It means employers would owe payroll tax and the employee would have to pay up as well.
