In a video posted to YouTube by Hayden Smith, he reveals to his mother that he is gay.
Smith says he’s shaking as he sets up the camera nervously. He calls his mother into the room and says, “I’m gay.”
She replies: “Are you? That’s ok. That’s very brave of you to tell me that. Thank you for telling me. It’s not going to make me love you any less, at all. OK? Your choice is your choice. And I accept you any way you are, you’re still my boy. You’re still my son.”
At 5:23 everything changes when she says she’s got a secret of her own.
“Since you’ve been so open with me, I’ll tell you a secret, too. I’ve had a girlfriend.”
