CUMBERLAND CO., Pa.-(WPMT) On August 24,  West Shore Regional Police responded to the Paperback Exchange on State Street in Lemoyne Borough for an attempted burglary. Officers arrived to find damage to the rear door however no entry was made. A witness provided information regarding a possible vehicle that was seen in the area. This same store was burglarized in 2012 in the same manner where a large amount of money was taken.

Through an investigation, 25-year-old Ryan David Eckenrode no fixed address, along with 23-year-old Spencer Robert Thomas and 24-year-old Korenia Marie Barrick, both of the 600 Block of Silver Spring Road, Silver Spring Township were developed as suspects.

All three were interviewed. Eckenrode and Barrick admitted to their involvement for the 2012 and 2014 incidents. Thomas admitted to his involvement for the 2014 incident. All admitted the burglaries were committed to satisfy their illicit drug addiction.

Eckenrode is charged with Burglary, Theft By Unlawful Taking, Criminal Trespass, Attempted Criminal Trespass, and Criminal Mischief.  Following arraignment he was sent to Cumberland County Prison in lieu of $50,000 bail.

Barrick is charged with Conspiracy to commit Burglary, Conspiracy to Criminal Trespass, and Theft By Unlawful Taking.  She is being held at Cumberland County Prison after failing to post $15,000 bail.

Thomas is  charged with Conspiracy to Criminal Trespass.  He was also sent to Cumberland County Prison in lieu of $7000.00 bail.
