Three-year-old Cooper Waldvogel hadn’t seen his mommy in nine months -and he couldn’t wait any longer.
Kathryn Waldvogel had not yet been dismissed after returning from Afghanistan when her son ran right into her arms.
“I was longing to hold him, that’s all that I thought about,” she told KARE.
The Minnesota toddler is no stranger to dealing with deployment, both of his parents are in the National Guard and he’s had to share them with the military most of his short life.
“He’s the definition of resiliency, that’s for sure,” said his father Adam Waldvogel.
