Lancaster police say a teenager is in critical condition after the boy collided with the back of a truck on Friday afternoon.

According to police a 15-year-old boy was riding his bike on the sidewalk going westbound in the 100 block of West King Street just before 4:00p.m. The boy collided with the back of a Chevrolet Silverado truck. The teen was thrown from his bike and landed on the road.

The boy, who lives in the 500 block of S. Lime Street was taken to Lancaster General Hospital where he was later flown to Penn State Hershey Medical Center.

The teen is in critical but stable condition.

The Chevrolet truck was driven by a 53-year-old Lancaster woman.

The accident is still under investigation by the Lancaster police crash investigations team.
