LANCASTER (WPMT)- The Park City Center in Lancaster is back open after a carbon monoxide incident early Thursday.
The initial call to police came shortly after 5:15 a.m. Thursday while the mall was closed for business. Investigators said generators were being utilized as crews were doing work in the basement. The carbon monoxide being emitted from the generators reached unsafe levels and the mall was evacuated.
Crews used large fans to air out the lower level, police said.
The Park City Center has more than 170 stores, including Bon-ton, Sears, JCPenney and Boscov's.
