Carlisle man arrested after being caught hiding during a search warrant

Police in Carlisle arrest a man after they find him hiding in the basement while completing a search warrant for illegal guns and drug sales.

Carlisle police and Cumberland County Drug Task Force were serving a search warrant along the 400 block of  N. Pitt Street on Wednesday after an investigation led them to believe guns and drugs were being sold out of the home.

Police say they  found  35-year-old Jorge Santos-Lalindez hiding in the basement of the adjacent home.

He was arrested and taken to Cumberland County Prison on an active bench warrant.

Police continue to investigate the incident and say additional charges are pending against Santos-Lalindez for felony firearms violations, felony drug delivery charges and felony trespass charges.
