Woman struck, killed by train in Palmyra

PALMYRA (WPMT)- A 27-year-old woman was killed after being hit by a train in Lebanon County late Thursday night.

The incident happened near the North Railroad Street train crossing in Palmyra around 11:55 p.m.

According to police, the unidentified woman was standing in the middle of the train tracks when she was hit by a westbound Norfolk Southern train.

The woman died at the scene. Police said she was a resident of Palmyra.
