A York County police officer was remembered on Sunday with a memorial motorcycle ride.
The ride, in honor of Officer Dave Kennedy, who worked for the Lower Windsor Township Police Department, started at Rexroth Park. The riders then traveled to the York Expo Center in West Manchester Township, where a huge celebration was held with live music and fun for kids.
"It's a way in which we can remember David and the type of guy he was, a family guy, the type of guy that cared about his community and cared about.. and it's also a way to help out give people a great day in September to enjoy that," said Lower Windsor Township Police Chief Tim Caldwell.
All of the money raised will be given to Officer Kennedy's family; he died February 17th.
The event was sponsored by the Lower Windsor Township Police Officers' Association.
