THIS EVENING
Some upper level energy that came through from the Ohio Valley has brought clouds with it as well as a few isolated showers across our southern counties. Most of the area remains dry and beyond 7pm rain chances end across the east as well. Mild temps will fall through the 70s to the mid 60s tonight.
MORNING
Patchy fog in some valley spots, otherwise, partly to mostly sunny morning with mild temps in the mid to upper 50s. Should be a quiet, dry start .
TOMORROW AFTERNOON
Heading through the day a pretty strong upper level shortwave rotates in with a surface cold front, clouds will thicken, and there could be a few showers late afternoon towards evening. Best chance will be later towards evening as much of the daylight hours look to be mostly dry. Highs will range from around 74 to 77 degrees. Shower threat may linger into the start of Wednesday but again, amount of rain is not impressive. Most of the activity will be hit or miss.
OUTLOOK
With the front to our south and high pressure to our northeast, the ridge that has been in place will slowly break down with weak disturbances moving in from now through Wednesday into early Thursday time frame. This means the clouds will be with us, temperatures, while still above average, will be cooler and there could be a few stray showers from time to time. Brief ridging for Thursday afternoon into early Friday but a strong cold front swings in late bringing our best chance for showers of the week towards the late afternoon and evening hours. The front will be followed by a much deeper upper level trough which will make its home across the eastern U.S. for the weekend. This will usher in colder air and keep temperatures chilly in the 60s for both Saturday and Sunday.
