Seen here in this short video released by ISIS Friday – British aid worker Alan Henning kneeling beside a masked man.

“We are aware and have seen and are evaluating the newest video. If it in fact proves to be authentic, it is yet another demonstration of the brutality of ISIL and our hearts go out to the British aid worker,” said Lisa Monaco, Assistant to the President for Homeland Security and Counterterrorism.

The video shows the apparent beheading of Alan Henning. A taxi driver from Manchester, England. He was part of a team of volunteers that traveled to Syria in December of last year. Henning was abducted the day after Christmas.

In the moments before he is killed, he speaks to the camera about Britain's decision to join the bombing campaign against ISIS. British Prime Minister David Cameron took to Twitter writing the "brutal murder of Alan Henning by ISIL shows just how barbaric these terrorists are. My thoughts are with his wife and children."

The White House released a statement saying in part, "Standing together with a broad coalition of allies and partners, we will will continue taking decisive action to degrade and ultimately destroy ISIL."

This is the fourth beheading by ISIS and they're threatening to do it again. In that same video, ISIS threatens to kill Peter Kassig. A former U.S. soldier who served in Iraq in 2007. He later received an honorable discharge for medical reasons and became an aid worker in the Middle East.

"The way I saw it, I didn't have a choice. This is what I was put here to do," said Kassig during an undated interview.

Seen here in this video, Kassig helps a wounded Syrian. He describes himself as an idealist and believer in hopeless causes.

"There is this impression, this belief that there`s no hope. You know, um that`s why it`s more important than ever that we come in against all odds and try to do something," added Kassig.

The details surrounding Kassig's kidnapping are still unclear.
