Man recaptured after escaping from constable in Waynesboro

WAYNESBORO (WPMT) – A man who escaped from a constable in Waynesboro on Sept. 29 is back in police custody, authorities said.

Jeffery William Moore Jr., 30, of Waynesboro was arrested Sunday in Martinsburg, West Virginia. According to police, Moore was being transported to Franklin County Prison last month when he escaped from a state constable’s vehicle at the intersection of Grant and Main Street.

He is currently in Eastern Regional Jail pending extradition to Pennsylvania.
