The manhunt for Eric Frien, who is accused of killing State Police Cpl. Bryon Dickson and critically wounding Trooper Alex Douglass, is effecting Halloween activities in one part of Monroe County.
Police say Frein was spotted on Tuesday and they are not leaving the area until he is found.
As a result, Barrett Township is postponing its Halloween Parade and cancelling Trick-Or-Treat night.
Officials say the decision was not solely based on safety.
“The whereabouts of Frein are unknown obviously, at this time and it’s not just not the safety of everybody, it’s the logistics that go into it,” says Chief Steven Williams with the Barrett Township Police Department.
If the Halloween Parade is held, it will be the town’s 50th.

Frein is believed to have ambushed the troopers outside their barracks in Pike County on September 12th.
