Church evacuated due to nearby gas leak

According to County Control, a vehicle struck a gas meter around 9a.m.  Sunday causing a gas leak.

It happened on the 600 block of North Holly Street in Elizabethtown Borough. Mount Calvary Christian church, located nearby, had to be evacuated.

Streets around the gas leak and part of Route 743 were closed for nearly to 2 hours while UGI stopped the leak and made repairs.

No injuries reported.
