Change of venue denied.
A judge has rejected a request from Aaron Hernandez’s attorneys to move his murder trial out of Bristol County, Massachusetts.
Lawyers for the former New England Patriot tight-end argued the media coverage had “poisoned” the jury pool in Bristol County, but the judge says picking impartial jurors will not be impossible.
Hernandez is set to go to trial in January for the murder of semi-pro football player, Odin Lloyd.
Lloyd was dating the sister of Hernandez’s fiance when he was shot and killed in 2013.
His body was found about a mile away from Hernandez’s home.
Hernandez is also facing charges for the double murder of two Boston men, who were shot outside of a nightclub in 2012.
