Maytown man arrested following rash of vehicle break-ins

EAST DONEGAL TOWNSHIP (WPMT)- A Maytown man has been arrested in connection with a rash of burglaries and  vehicle break-ins in Lancaster County, police said.

Susquehanna Regional Police were called to the first block of Thornapple Drive Tuesday, around 1:30 a.m. for a report of a man breaking into a vehicle.

Investigators identified 29-year-old Eric S. Halbleib as the suspect and took him into custody at the scene.

Police said Halbleib is also responsible for a burglarizing his neighbors home on Oct. 16. He allegeldy stole food, DVDs and other household items.

Halbleib is charged with theft from a motor vehicle and burglary.  He was taken to Lancaster County Prison in lieu of $5,000 bail.

Authorities said additional charges are expected to be filed against Halbleib.
