Parents of slain State Police Corporal speak about Frein’s capture

News of the capture of suspected cop killer Eric Frein is bringing closure to many people throughout Pennsylvania.
The family of State Police Corporal Bryon Dickson, the trooper authorities say Frein killed, is now speaking out.
They say they are overwhelmed by the support shown for their son, who was ambushed and shot to death outside of his barracks on September 12th.
Cpl. Dickson’s mother Darla says, “It could have been five years, you could not know the time span, but your hope is that justice would prevail and it did.”
“He was a great kid and he would go far, but I didn’t realize it would be like this,” says Dickson’s father, Bryon.
31-year old Frein is charged with First Degree Murder and a series of other offenses, including two counts of Possessing Weapons of Mass Destruction, after police found pipe bombs.
Prosecutors are now seeking the death penalty for Frein, who surrendered to U.S. Marshals on Thursday, after seven weeks on the run.
