HARRISBURG, Pa.(WPMT)- A Harrisburg man faces a list of charges after leading police on a chase that began when they tried to pull him over for driving the wrong way on North 2nd Street.

The incident began at about 8:39 pm on Sunday.  Curtis Wanner, 41, was driving a red colored Kia the wrong way on N. 2nd Street from Harris Street.  When police attempted to stop him, Wanner continued towards Chestnut Street. He then traveled west towards Front Street and then headed north the wrong way on Front.  An officer pulled in front of Wanner to protect everyone in the traffic stop.

As the officer walked toward the Kia, Wanner,  placed the car in gear and hit the police unit. He then drove west on the wrong side of the Harvey Taylor Bridge.  On the West Shore, he hit an occupied car in Camp Hill and then struck a curb on 32th Street disabling his car.

Charges against Wanner include, Aggravated Assault, Recklessly Endangering, Resisting Arrest, Driving the Wrong Way, Driving over Divider, Fleeing and Attempting to Elude, Reckless Driving and Accidents Involving Damage to Attended Vehicle.
