When Former Harrisburg Mayor Linda Thompson's role ended this year to Eric Papenfuse, she didn't want to stop being a leader. But the voters of the 4th district have spoken, however Thompson's political run isn't over yet. She says, "I Haven't crossed that bridge yet but you haven't heard the last of me."

Democratic leaders in Adams, Cumberland, York and Dauphin counties say Thompson would have been the right candidate to serve in Congress because she has a record of achievement. If you recall, the city's debt deal came under her leadership. Thompson also received some negative attention when she described people in Perry County as "Scumbags."

But despite who she calls "nay-sayers" Thompson says she's proud of her determination.

Thompson says, "I just want to thank God for allowing me to have the stamina, wisdom and strength to get involved because it was about the issues and people. We had so little but so much with what we have and I'm proud of that."
