CAERNARVON TWP., Pa.(WPMT) Pennsylvania State Police say it was a large piece of farming equipment that struck and killed a Narvon woman who was riding her bicycle Friday morning, October 31,
56-year-old Roseanna O. Newswanger, of Narvon, was struck as she rode along the 400 block of Shirktown Road in Caernarvon Township at around 8 :59 a.m.
State Police were looking for a large “light” colored vehicle with brown dirt on the front bumper and undercarriage. They believed that the vehicle had regularly traveled the road. The incident was being investigated as a hit and run. Police credited media coverage with help in identifying the vehicle.
The operator of the farm equipment is cooperating with investigators.
