BONNEAUVILLE (WPMT)- A Littlestown man is facing charges after police say he hit a 4-year-old boy with a beer bottle while attending a house party in Adams County Saturday.

The unidentified man is charged with recklessly endangering another person.

According to police reports, the suspect and the boy’s father were at a house party along Bonneaufield Circle in Bonneauveille Borough when a fight broke out between the two men around 10 p.m.

At one point during the fight–the suspect picked up a glass beer bottle and threw it at the child’s father. The bottle hit a 4-year-old boy who was sitting at a nearby picnic table. The boy sustained a large gash to his forehead and was taken to Gettysburg Hospital for treatment.

Investigators believe alcohol was a contributing factor in the incident.

Additional charges may be filed against the suspect–depending on the extent of the boy’s injuries, state police said.
