After months of intense campaigning and countless debates, the time has finally come for voters to decide what’s next for Pennsylvania.
Polls across the state opened this morning at 7:00 and people in our area wasted no time casting their votes in the 2014 Midterm Election.
Voters began lining up around 6:45 a.m. at the Eastside Church in Springettsbury Township, York County.
Throughout the morning there was a steady flow of voters, many of them stopped by to vote on their way into work.
Bill Schreiber, the District 8 Judge of Elections, said just within the first hour, they had more than 100 people come in to vote at the church.
He says that’s more than they expected, especially for a midterm election which historically has low voter turnout.
Polls will close tonight at 8:00.
