People in Dauphin County came together in support of justice and equality. The Harrisburg National Association for the Advancement of Colored People celebrated 60 years of service with its Annual Freedom Fund Dinner at the Holiday Inn East.

Actor and educational philanthropist Cylk Cozart was the keynote speaker at Saturday's event. Cozart says he would like to see more children taught the importance of equality at an early age.

"I think we need to really tighten up," Cozart said. " that would be the overall message and be aware of each other, know that we have more similarities than differences"

The mission of the NAACP is to make sure political, educational, and economic equality rights are given to everyone--erasing discrimination based on race.
