Police look for attempted robbery suspect in York

York City police are looking for a suspect who they say tried to rob the Turkey Hill Store located along the 700 block of Roosevelt Avenue in York County.

Officials say around 10:00 p.m. Wednesday the suspect entered the store and tried to obtain cash. After his attempt failed he fled the scene on foot.

Police are describing the suspect as a light-skinned black or Hispanic male, around 6 ft. tall with a mustache. At the time of the robbery, he was wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt with white lettering on the front, black pants, blue shoes and a black ball hat under his hood.

Anyone with any information or who may recognize the suspect is asked to call Crime Stoppers at #755-TIPS.

    You’d think that the highly-robbed Turkey Hill chain stores would have better video clarity. Angle and close-up is good but fuzzy faces aren’t helping. In fact, now it is known to the general public just how bad the video is there. It’s like an invitation.
