FRIDAY CHILL:  It’s another chilly day for you.  We’re starting with passing clouds and cold air with low 30s on the board.  We’ll warm up to near 40° for highs today under partly cloudy to mostly sunny skies.  It’s breezy though.  Enjoy the sunshine.  Tonight, we drop to the middle 20s under clear skies.

FOOTBALL:  For the playoff games tonight, dress warmly, grab the gloves and blankets as well.  It’s chilly with temps falling around the freezing mark.  The breeze will lessen, but it’s still chilly.  At least it’s dry and mainly clear.

Penn State tailgating in Happy Valley starts very cold with temps in the 20s.  We’re partly cloudy and temps will move into the middle 30s for the game.  Stay warm!

WEEKEND:  Saturday is mostly sunny with highs in the lower 40s.  It’s cold and dry.  Sunday, we watch our next system forming which throws cloud cover into the state.  Highs hit the middle 40s.  It looks dry during the day, with the chance for some late flakes and drops.

MONDAY SYSTEM:  Our next system races from the Deep South toward New England through the day Monday.  We’ll see rain showers through the day with the chance for snow showers mixing, especially northwest and in the elevations.  We’re watching the advancement of colder air with this system, as it remains a close call.  Highs are only near 40°.  Stay with us through the weekend in case of any changes.

The track of this system is key for rain vs. snow. Right now, we favor rain, but it's a close call. We'll be tweaking over the weekend.

BIG CHILL:  The second blob of cold air punches in for mid-week.  Highs will climb only to the middle 30s for Tuesday and Wednesday with skies breaking for sunshine.  Add gusty winds to both days and we’ll have some enhanced chill.  Stay warm!

Make it a fantastic Friday and have a wonderful weekend.
