LANCASTER CO., PA-(WMPT) A Lancaster man faces multiple charges after his arrest for robbing a grandmother in the parking of the Five Guys restaurant in East Lampeter Township.  It happened at around 11:50 am on Wednesday, November 12.

Township police responded to the scene in the parking at East Towne Mall. The victim told officers that a man wearing a a grey “hoodie” and black jeans reached in the open door of her vehicle as she was sitting and forcibly took her purse. Her four young grandchildren were also inside the vehicle having lunch.  After stealing the purse, the man ran away.

Quickly searching the area, police found the suspect inside a nail salon in the 2100 block of Lincoln Highway East.  He was identified as Khiri Kashir Spain, 24, who police says was staying at the Economy Inn, at 2140 Lincoln Highway East.

Investigators determined that Spain was responsible for multiple thefts from vehicles in the area. He also assaulted a female while staying at the Economy Inn.

Charges against Spain include, Robbery, Theft by Unlawful Taking, Theft from Motor Vehicle and Domestic Violence Simple Assault.

Spain was sent to Lancaster County Prison on an unrelated bench warrant for parole violation.
