JACKSON TOWNSHIP(WPMT)-Police are trying to identify the person who tossed  pumpkins at three moving vehicles along Route 116 in York County.

Northern York County Regional Police said all three incidents happened Wednesday shortly before 8 p.m. on Route 116 in Jackson Township.

According to police reports, a pumpkin smashed through a windshield of a westbound 2004 Jeep Liberty on Route 116 near the railroad tracks around 7:45 p.m.  The pumpkin went through the vehicle and exited through the rear window. Authorities said the driver suffered minor cuts to his face.

The next incident happened at 7:50 p.m. as a 2006 Ford F150 truck was heading west on Route 116 near Cedarlyn Drive. The driver told police he saw a person in the back of a dark colored compact pickup truck toss a pumpkin out the back before his vehicle was hit.  The driver and his passenger were not injured.

A third vehicle was struck by a flying pumpkin around 7:53 p.m. near Route 116 and Kevin Drive. The driver of a 1997 Jeep Cherokee told police the pumpkin struck his windshield, but did not penetrate the glass. Moments before his vehicle was hit–he told police he could see someone throwing pumpkins from an eastbound pickup truck. The victim and his passenger were not hurt.

Police believe all three incidents are related.
