NORTH CORNWALL TOWNSHIP (WPMT)–A 46-year-old man was arrested after a man was shot while attending a birthday party in Lebanon County on Saturday, police said.

Luis Rodriguez, of Lebanon, is charged with aggravated assault, simple assault, recklessly endangering another person and possession of instruments of a crime.

Officers responded to the Neversink Fire Department social hall, located along the 1900 block of Center Street,  for a reported shooting shortly after 11 p.m.

According to police reports,  an argument erupted over someone moving another person’s keys while a group was cleaning up after a 40th birthday party celebration.

Rodriguez allegedly shot the victim in the upper left chest/shoulder area inside the social hall, investigators said. He fled the scene in a vehicle–but later turned himself into authorities at the Lebanon City Police Department.

The victim was taken to the Penn State Hershey Medical Center for treatment. Their injuries appear to be non-life threatening, police said.

Rodriguez was taken to Central Booking to be arraigned.
