Ice hockey season is officially underway which means thousands of fans will be filling up the Giant Center to cheer on the Hershey Bears.

For the second year now, the Bears are encouraging their female fans to grab their favorite pair of heels and head to the rink for a night of fun.

It’s all part of their 2nd Annual Hockey and Heels event.

The event will give their lady hockey fans in the stands a chance to learn from those who know the game best- the Hershey Bear players and coaches.

They’ll get a chance to tour the locker room, as well as hit the ice to learn about penalties, passing and how to shoot.

Aside from having a great time, the Hockey and Heels event will also help a wonderful cause.

A portion of the ticket sales will go to the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Domestic Violence.

Hockey and Heels will be held Thursday from 6:00 to 9:30 p.m. at the Giant Center.
