A Christian social service agency in Cumberland County opened up new opportunities for job seekers today.

New Hope Ministries hosted a public job fair at its Mechanicsburg West Shore Center. More than a dozen local employers were on hand to talk to interested candidates about employment opportunities in several different fields including marketing and health care.

"The reason for this job fair is so that I get a better job," Jordan Leiby, a job seeker from Camp Hill, said,  "Right now, I`m only working one day a week, and it`s not working out because of transportation issues. "

The job fair also provided resume building and community resources for attendees.
