Today we talked turkey--and all the fixin's!-- with The Garlic Poet. They also included a recipe for your very own cranberry sauce.

Holiday Spiced Cranberry Sauce

2 bags whole, fresh cranberries
Zest and juice of 1 lemon and 1 orange
.5 cup Honey
.25 cup Maple Syrup
.5 Cup White Wine
1 tsp Kosher salt

For the Tea:
1 cup water
10 whole cloves
10 whole allspice berries
2 tbls minced fresh ginger
.25 tsp whole cardamom pods
1 whole cinnamon stick

Make the Tea: place water, all spices, and ginger into a small pot, and bring to a very low simmer on medium heat. Allow to simmer for 5 minutes. Strain through a fine mesh strainer.

To make the sauce:
Place cranberries, zest and juice of lemon and orange, honey, maple syrup, white wine, salt, and the strained tea into a pot over medium heat. Bring to a simmer. Allow to cook for 15 to 20 minutes, or until the cranberries break down and become jelly-like.
Serve warm or cold!
