EAST LAMPETER TOWNSHIP, Lancaster Co. (WPMT)-A Lancaster County man was arrested after authorities found more than a hundred files of apparent child pornography on his home computer, according to the state Attorney General’s office.
Allen Perreault, 50, of Leola, was charged with 25 counts of possession of child pornography, one count of distribution of child pornography and one count of criminal use of a communication facility.
Investigators suspected Perreault had been downloading illegal images of prepubescent females engaging in graphic sexual acts.
Perreault was arrested on Nov. 21 after agents with the Attorney General’s office and police executed a search warrant at his apartment in East Lampeter Township.
A forensic preview of a computer and a thumb drive located in Perreault’s apartment identified more than a hundred files of apparent child pornography, according to the criminal complaint.
Perreault was one of five men arrested during a sweep by the Attorney General’s Child Predator Section–which targets the online sharing, downloading and distribution of child pornograph.
Senior Deputy Attorney General Christopher Jones of the Office of Attorney General’s Child Predator Section will prosecute the case in Lancaster County.
