Suspect identified in Lancaster City homicide

Wilberto Melendez aka: Willie Banks

LANCASTER, PA. (WPMT) – Lancaster City Police identify a suspect in the November 28 shooting death of 32 year old Jeremy Torres.  Torres was found in the first block of South Prince Street, suffering from a gunshot wound to his chest. He died at Lancaster General Hospital.

Investigators have an arrest warrant for 27 year old Wilberto Melendez, also known as Willie Banks.  Melendez is an hispanic male, 5 feet 11 inches in height and weighs 245 pounds.

Melendez is charged with Criminal Homicide, Persons Not to Possess, Use, Manufacture, Control, Sell or Transfer Arms, and Firearms Not to be Carried Without a License.
