Police incident in Lancaster County ends peacefully

LANCASTER, PA (WPMT) A police incident in Lancaster County ends peacefully.  The incident began at about 10:30 am at the Penns Woods Inn, along Route 72 just north of the Lancaster/Lebanon exit of the Pennsylvania Turnpike.

According to reports, a man refused to pay his motel bill and faced eviction.  Instead of leaving he barricaded himself inside his room.  Manheim Borough Police evacuated other guests in the motel.

Shortly before 5 pm a police negotiator finally convinced the unidentified man to surrender.  He was placed in handcuffs and taken away by ambulance.
