Skies remain cloudy and light snow showers continue as the area remains under the influence of an upper level low. Winds will remain breezy adding to the chill as temperatures fall from around 34 to near 30.
Clouds break up Friday afternoon as the low weakens, losing its grip on the area, while it pulls away to the north. We’ll see more sunshine by afternoon mixing in and out of the clouds. Highs should warm to near 40 but with a breeze out of the west around 10- to 15mph, it will feel like the 30’s. We’ll see breaks in the clouds overnight leading to lows in the upper 20’s to near 30. Winds will continue to subside as high pressure builds in.
Heading into the weekend, the trough starts to lift out as ridging takes place. This will allow for dry conditions both days and temperatures returning to the 40s. Sunday will be the mildest with more sunshine and highs in the upper 40’s. Monday we could flirt with 50 degrees under plenty of sunshine. Our next system comes in Tuesday into Wednesday with a small chance for rain showers and highs in the mid 40’s both days. Thursday expect partly cloudy skies and highs in the upper 40s.
