YORK COUNTY, PA(WPMT) – A York County cleaning lady is charged with the fraudulent use of two stolen credit cards. Southern Regional Police accused Michelle Cornett, 37, Shrewsburg Township, a self employed residential cleaner, of stealing the credit cards from a client.

Investigators say surveillance video from a merchant aided in identifying Cornett as the victim’s hired cleaning person.  It was  determined that she used the credit cards to make 76 separate purchases between March and June of 2014 that totaled more than $5,000.

Cornett was arrested at her home today. She admitted to taking and using the credit cards to support a drug habit.

Charges include 76 counts of Access Device Fraud, Identify Theft, Forgery and Theft by Unlawful Taking or Disposition.  Following arraignment Cornett was sent to York County Prison in lieu of $10,000 bail and a probation detainer.
